What about getting the tree back into a bonsai pot after you have 'slipped it up' to get the size you are looking for? Would there be any benefit to 'un'slipping back down in sizes to get the tree into smaller and smaller pots and not in one go into a bonsai pot?
Hi Josh,
Because slip potting doesn't involve any manipulation with roots hence no or minimal disturbance to a plant, can it be done at any time of the year? I have a couple of oaks and baobabs which roots apparently have filled their pots; is now still good time to slip-repotting? I am in Mid North Coast. Cheers
