This rusting can be started with just moisture present, so it can happen in a tool bag or tool box or where ever you store your tools. Some people might think having tools that rust this quick is a bad thing but it is a trade off of having the harder tools that retain an edge longer. All it takes though is a light coat of oil and you can have rust free top quality tools.
